  • The family support group held on the second Monday of every month and facilitated by Integral Care (previously MHMR) is the longest running group (20+ years) affiliated with NAMI Austin (National Alliance on Mental Illness).  It has been a vibrant, caring group of people, informing and supporting participants on the life-long journey that mental illness is.  When mental illness was first diagnosed in our loved one, this group was invaluable to our understanding of the situation and our ability to cope and deal with it.  The Integral Care leaders have been very important facilitators; over the years, they have opened doors to treatment possibilities and other resources that participants would not have knowledge of or been able to access.  This group brings the best of both Integral Care’s expertise and professionalism and the grassroots bonding of its NAMI Austin members.
