The Central Texas Grief and Loss Conference is open to professionals interested in increasing their knowledge base about working in the area of bereavement. The two-day event will offer a variety of workshops and intensives to appeal to both the beginner interested in grief work as well as the seasoned professional seeking to gain more information about grief and loss. This includes social workers, marriage and family therapists, counselors, psychologists, school counselors, nurses, chaplains, and students.

The focus will be on the impact of grief and loss across the lifespan to include children, adolescents, and adults. Emphasis will be placed on various types of loss as well as the necessary components involved in providing grief counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The conference sessions will be conducted by bereavement professionals from Central Texas, and the conference will be opened with a keynote by national expert Phyllis Kosminsky, Ph.D., LCSW on Attachment-Informed Grief Therapy.
