Makes ~80 dumplings

Ring in the new year by wrapping dumplings with family and friends! These delicious chicken dumplings have both protein and carbohydrate to help you feel full and satisfied.



  • 1 lb ground chicken, turkey, or pork
  • 8 scallions, chopped
  • 1 inch ginger, chopped
  • 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
  • 2 packs wonton wrappers
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup water
  • Olive oil



  • Combine ground meat, scallions, ginger, and water chestnuts in a large bowl, mix
  • Mix flour and water in different small bowl
  • Lay out wonton wrappers
  • Place 1 tsp ground meat mix onto center of wonton wrapper
  • Dip finger in flour/water mixture and outline wonton wrapper
  • Press corner of wonton wrapper to opposite corner, press sides (get creative with shape of your dumplings!)
  • Add small amount of olive oil to large pan
  • Place dumplings in pan and cook until golden brown
  • Add 1/4 cup water to pan, place lid on pan
  • Cook until water is evaporated
  • Take off lid and let cook for another 1-2 minutes
  • Serve!
