Makes ~80 dumplings
Ring in the new year by wrapping dumplings with family and friends! These delicious chicken dumplings have both protein and carbohydrate to help you feel full and satisfied.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground chicken, turkey, or pork
- 8 scallions, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, chopped
- 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
- 2 packs wonton wrappers
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 cup water
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Combine ground meat, scallions, ginger, and water chestnuts in a large bowl, mix
- Mix flour and water in different small bowl
- Lay out wonton wrappers
- Place 1 tsp ground meat mix onto center of wonton wrapper
- Dip finger in flour/water mixture and outline wonton wrapper
- Press corner of wonton wrapper to opposite corner, press sides (get creative with shape of your dumplings!)
- Add small amount of olive oil to large pan
- Place dumplings in pan and cook until golden brown
- Add 1/4 cup water to pan, place lid on pan
- Cook until water is evaporated
- Take off lid and let cook for another 1-2 minutes
- Serve!
