On November 20, 2023, the Lola Wright Foundation awarded Integral Care a $30,000 grant to support the basic needs of Child and Family Services clients in Austin, Travis County. This funding will help address the essential needs of children and adolescents seeking mental health care, many of whom live below the poverty line. The pandemic has increased the demand for both mental health services and basic necessities. Integral Care recognizes that unmet basic needs worsen mental health outcomes and that untreated childhood mental health issues can lead to lifelong challenges. Integral Care therapists, working in schools, ensure that clients’ needs for food, housing, clothing, and hygiene products are met. This grant aims to bridge the gap between mental health and basic needs, fostering lasting positive changes.
